The sacraments are the means by which God gives us his grace and draws us into his life. They correspond to all the important stages and moments of the Christian's life: they give birth and growth, healing and mission.
The Sacraments
They are sensible and efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, through which divine life is given to us. There are seven: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony.
