María, icono de mujer de todos los tiempos

María es su nombre y ella es el modelo de identidad, icono de mujer de todos los tiempos. ¿Por qué? Por muchos motivos, pero vamos a resumírtelos en 8:

1. La mujer, más mujer

Cuando Dios quiso curar a los hombres de sus heridas, soñó con una mujer nueva. Sería la primera mujer del mundo curada de amarguras, rencores, envidias, impurezas; sin rastro de malicia en todo su ser. Sólo ella podría ser la cuna, el alimento, el abrazo de Él mismo. Así, Dios regaló al mundo una mujer nueva, una nueva Eva llamada María, tal y como la había pensado desde siempre, a imagen de la feminidad de Dios, en la que todo era bueno.

2. María, la más liberal

María es la mujer más libre, radicalmente libre. Cuando aceptó el reto que Dios le propuso, corrió el mayor de los riesgos y desencadenó la mayor revolución de la historia. Lo llevaba intuyendo esos pocos años de vida, por eso esperaba. Algo grande tenía preparado Dios para ella.  Así, con la inocencia de una niña y con la libertad de la mujer, más mujer, aceptó ser madre muy pronto, así, de repente…..en medio de un misterio: la ausencia de un varón. Y es que sin malicia, la mirada es clara, la conciencia más real, la decisión más libre. Esa libertad plenamente vivida no podía ser de otra manera que un derroche de entusiasmo vital y sereno, incomprensible para el mundo.

3. La mujer más alegre

¡El Señor ha hecho en mí maravillas! Que mayor explosión de alegría que llevar la alegría en Persona dentro. Él es todo alegría y le hace capaz de ir pronto y rápido al encuentro de quien la necesita. 

4. La mujer que ganó todas las batallas

La luz de su humildad y obediencia le hizo merecedora del mayor tesoro, Jesús; y con Él, todos los dones. Ella aplastó el NO con un SÍ hecho vida y así ganó todas las batallas de la historia.

5. Madre por excelencia de la mayor familia del mundo

Si Eva fue madre de la humanidad, María fue la puerta de la humanidad de Jesús y por Él, puerta de la vida eterna para todos los hombres de todos los tiempos. Sin la madre no hay hijo, “sin María no hay Jesús” (Teresa de Calcuta). Su maternidad ordena todo su ser, está diseñada para ser "La Madre" por excelencia, con un corazón inmenso que a todos cuida para que ninguno de sus hijos se pierda.  María es la madre que espera, que no se cansa nunca de esperar.

6. La mujer que más ha sufrido 

No hay dolor comparable a su dolor. Tanto más grande fue la dignidad del hijo, más grande fue el regalo, más grande fue la pérdida. Tanto más grande fue el amor, más grande el dolor. Y así, con Jesús y por Jesús, santificó el dolor de todas las madres por sus hijos.

7. La mujer más gloriosa

María, la mujer nueva. Signo de contradicción de los tiempos; con su servir se hizo Reina, de todo y de todos. Unida a su Hijo entrañablemente comparte con Él toda la vida, lo presente y lo eterno, su misión, su destino y su gloria. Su santidad supera a todos los santos y los ángeles juntos, porque su cuerpo fue lugar del comienzo de una nueva creación.

8. María, el camino seguro para llegar a buen puerto

Si la vida te lleva y te abate...mira a María, camino y modelo de identidad.  “En los peligros, en las angustias, en las dudas, piensa en María, invoca a María. No la apartes de tu boca, no la apartes de tu corazón y, para conseguir la ayuda de su oración, no te separes del ejemplo de su vida. Si la sigues, no te extraviarás; si le suplicas, no te desesperarás; si piensas en ella, no te equivocarás; si te coges a ella, no te derrumbarás; si te protege, no tendrás miedo; si te guía, no te cansarás; si te es favorable, alcanzarás la meta, y así experimentarás que con razón se dijo: “Y el nombre de la Virgen era María”. San Bernardo Abad.[:en]Her name is Mary and she is the model of identity, the icon of women of all times. Why? For many reasons, but we will sum them up in 8:

1. The woman, more woman

When God wanted to heal mankind´s wounds, he dreamed about a new woman who would be the first woman to be cured from bitterness, resentment, envy and impurity; without a trace of malice in her being. Only she could be the crib, the nourishment, the embrace of God himself. Thereby God gave the world a new woman, a new Eve called Mary, just as He had thought from the beginning of times, according to the femininity of God, in whom all is good.

2. Mary, the freest

Mary is the freest woman, she is radically free. When she accepted the challenge she ran the risk to trigger the greatest revolution in history. She had been expecting it during those few years she had lived, therefore she waited, God had Something grand prepared for her. So with the innocence of a girl and the freedom of a woman, more woman, she accepted to become a mother early, suddenly… in the center of a mystery, without the presence of a man. Because without malice the sight is clear, the concience more real, decisions freer. This freedom lived to the full cannot be expressed in a different way than through a lavishness of vital and serene enthusiasm, however incomprehensible to the world.

3. The happiest woman

The Lord has done great things for me! What greater explosion of joy than to carry the Joy in person within herself, He who is all happiness and it enables her to hurry to meet the one who needs her.

4. The woman who won all the battles

The light of her humility and obedience made her worthy of the greatest treasure: Jesus, and with him all gifts. She crushed the NO with a YES made life and by this she won all the battles of all times.

5. Mother par excellence of the biggest family in the world

If Eve was the mother of humanity, Mary was the gate of Jesus´ humanity and through Him, the gate to eternal life for all mankind of all times. Without a mother there is no son, “without Mary there is no Jesus”. (Mother Teresa of Calcutta) Her maternity influences her whole being, she is designed to be the Mother par excellence, with an immense heart that cares for everyone so that not one of her children shall be lost. Mary is the mother who waits, she never tires of waiting.

6. The woman who has suffered most

There is no suffering comparable to her suffering. The greater the dignity of the son, the greater the gift and the greater the loss. The greater the Love, the greater the pain. And so with Jesus and through Jesus, she sanctified the pain of all mothers for their children.

7. The most glorious woman

Mary, the new woman, the sign of contradiction of all times, was made Queen of everything and everyone, by serving. Dearly united to her son she shares her entire life with Him, the present and the eternal, his mission, his destiny and his glory. Her sanctity is above all the angels and saints together, because her body was the beginning of a new creation.

8. Mary, the safe way to reach the good haven.

If your life carries you away and wears you down… look at Mary, the way and model of identity. “In dangers, in doubts, in doubts, think of Mary, call upon Mary. Let not her name depart from your lips, never suffer it to leave your heart. And that you may more surely obtain the assistance of her prayer, neglect no to walk in her footsteps. With her for your guide, you shall never go astray, while invoking her, you shall never lose heart, so long as she is in your mind, you are safe from deception, while she holds your hand, you cannot fall; under her protection you have nothing to fear; if she walks before you, you shall not grow weary; if she shows you favor, you shall reach the goal and thus do you experience in yourself how good is that saying: “And the Virgin´s name was Mary”.” St. Bernard of Clairvaux In this context, the reach and beauty of maternity as motor of the world can be understood in its whole dimension in the light of spiritual maternity as well, a mighty force that also pushes the gates of heaven.[:]
